Board of Directors

Springwater-Wayland EMS has a Board of Directors who are responsible for all fiscal and contractual obligations of the organization. SWEMS is a 501(c)3 non-profit and the Board of Directors ensure that the organization abides by the requirements imposed by the IRS.

The Board of Directors are:

President – Sue Walker

Susan is a Wayland native and a charter member of SWEMS. She has served on the organizing Committee with the Fire Commissioners from Wayland and Springwater. Although I have no EMS training or experience, I wanted to give back to those who have volunteered to serve our community in this manner. I admire and respect all EMS personnel for the work they do in saving lives. I am currently employed with the State of New York, and have a background in Adult education and Youth Employment Programming. I am an alumnus of State University of Fredonia and enjoy the outdoors, reading, theater, and dogs of all shapes and sizes. Mark and I have raised two children here in Wayland, and they currently live and work in Virginia.

Vice-President – Nicole Tatlock

Nicole Tatlock is a certified EMT and has a degree is Digital Media.

Secretary – Victoria VanDyke

Victoria has worked in Home Healthcare and currently works as a secretary at a school district. She is enthusiastic about improving EMS and ensuring all of our paperwork is up to date.

Treasurer – Ashley Bennett

Ashley is not only our Treasurer, she is also an active EMT. Always ready to help anybody who asks.
Ashley is an assistant manager for 7-11.

Member – Joseph Gettys

Joe has been an active Emergency Vehicle Operator for SWEMS for several years and also serves our community as a Firefighter and Captain with the Perkinsville FD.
