Due to the community’s generosity on our recent fund drive of nearly $10,000, we were able to secure a grant from The Bolger Foundation of $10,000 towards helping us build a dedicated training center.
We expect the cost of the training center and associated equipment to be over $40,000 and we would appreciate any support you can provide. We are also actively looking for other grant opportunities.
The dedicated training room will be in the side room of the historic Bennett Bros building. That room is about 2,000 square feet and our vision is to host more EMT classes as well as other regional EMS training opportunities. The goal is to have a “high tech” center that can handle teleconference training opportunities as well as having good A/V equipment to maximize in-person education.
Once completed we also plan on inviting other regional organizations to hold classes and seminars for the public that can help improve the lives of our residents.
Our grant committee is always looking for grants that we may qualify for and your historic support through our fund drives is instrumental in showing community support that many grant organizations want to see. Not only does the money you donate support our operations, we also try to magnify your donations through working with grant partners.
